Emergency 911

"My house is in ablaze and i just heard a blast"
My family's inside and i need some help help fast.
The tones trip the pagers,As we blast through our door
like a loaded shotgun.

Start up the trucks, grab your gear, and lets go.
We have all of about 30seconds before the trucks haft to roll.
Out goes The Engine, Rescue, and then the squad
"Let's go men,It's our turn to go play God".

A quick little prayer as we fly down the street.
"Please God keep us safe it's not our time to meet".
Bursting out of the gates like a bat out of Hell,
Lights blaring, Sirens roaring as we fallow the smell.
We are getting closer now, we can see the flames rise.

Above all the trees, they are Licking the sky.Jump out
of the trucks masked donned, in full gear.Ready to save all
you hold dear.Rush into the house not a second to spare,
To turn this mans family back under his care.

After everyone is out and all safe and sound ,we go Right
back in Till the fire is knocked down.It gets hotter and hotter
as we douse out the flames,But the fire's still calling like it knows
our names.

As the last flame is snuffed and we desend the stairs,
we are glad and releived that all lives have been spared.
we clean up the mess and return back to base Then we wipe
the sweat and soot off of our face.

There's something unique about a person like this we don't
get paid for taking the risk. When we fight the battle
we do as volunteers,

There is no applause, and the crawd does not cheer We know
our job is tough, and usally not that much fun
But, that is what makes us
Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Dept.#1
